WalkMe, the leading enterprise-grade cloud-based guidance and engagement platform, today announced it has achieved Safe Harbor certification from the U.S. Department of Commerce.
WalkMe received this recognition for its SaaS platform, which provides guidance and engagement solutions to some of the world’s largest enterprises.
Safe Harbor certification allows U.S. companies the ability to comply with European privacy laws and safely meet all necessary requirements for trans-Atlantic business transactions.
WalkMe was awarded this certification by complying with a set of strict privacy principles, set in place by the Department of Commerce in conjunction with the European Union.
These include giving proper notice to customers when collecting personal data, giving customers the choice to opt out, transferring information to 3rd parties only if they comply with similar privacy standards, allowing customers access and update their own information, maintaining integrity through the proper use of customer information, providing adequate security of information, and ensuring proper enforcement.
“As a company with a global customer reach, privacy has been of the utmost importance to WalkMe since day one,” said Shlomi Avivi, CISO of WalkMe. “Receiving the Safe Harbor certification demonstrates the continued recognition of our commitment to maintaining the strictest of privacy standards for our valued customers.”
In addition to the Safe Harbor certification, WalkMe was awarded the International Organization for Standardization Certification for Information Security (ISO 27001) as well as the TRUSTe Privacy Seal.
As a leading independent online privacy solutions provider, TRUSTe has reviewed WalkMe’s privacy practices to ensure they are compliant with Safe Harbor as well as TRUSTe’s own strict regulations. TRUSTe’s privacy seal is recognized and trusted by millions of consumers as a sign of responsible privacy practices.
