Reduction in support burden and time spent performing back-office tasks

Arla Foods, a global dairy powerhouse with 18,000 employees, adopted SuccessFactors® to ensure consistent HR processes. Early use of the software, however, resulted in employee frustration, errors, and poor user experience. The company turned to WalkMe Digital Adoption Platform to address these challenges. As a result, Arla Foods reports:

  • Fewer data entry errors in SuccessFactors®
  • Improved employee engagement and productivity
  • Reduction in support burden and time spent performing back-office tasks

We want our employees to focus on our core business activities and not multiple HR processes and procedures—and WalkMe helps us do just that.

Executive Summary

For Arla Foods, one of the world’s largest dairy companies, efficient, standardized HR processes are key to managing their dispersed workforce. To optimize process flow and ensure consistency, Arla invested in human capital management software SuccessFactors®.

Arla required employees to follow a self-service global recruitment process within SuccessFactors®. Employees, however, struggled to complete the process, making frequent data errors and numerous calls to support. Overall user frustration ran high.

Arla Foods turned to WalkMe Digital Adoption Platform to address these issues. WalkMe simplified self-service processes, automated some tasks, and reduced the time users spent in the system. Additionally, WalkMe’s in-app help features guided users through new and uncommon tasks at the point of need and in real-time. As a result, support requests declined steeply, and hiring managers had more time to spend on value added tasks—like ensuring quality—instead of back-office chores.
