What is DAP Professionals Day?
Established in 2020, DAP Professionals Day is celebrated annually on the last Thursday in July as a way to recognize the work of Digital Adoption Professionals globally. DAP Professionals work behind the scenes to enable the adoption of new technologies as part of their organizations’ overall digital transformation strategy, ensuring the success of their companies’ digital investments.
Why is this day being created?
Digital transformation budgets are rapidly increasing; according to IDC Research, Inc., transformation project spend is expected to grow by $1.1 trillion between 2020 and 2024 to an estimated $2.4 trillion in 2024. Digital Adoption Professionals along with the right digital adoption platforms maximize the value of these tremendous digital transformation investments.
Organizations would be wise to properly train and promote these talented professionals who have a direct impact on the success of such important software projects across the business. With the new realities of the remote and hybrid workforces here to stay, DAP professionals will continue to play a key role in the success of countless business initiatives in the years to come and deserve recognition.
How should this day be celebrated or observed?
On an individual level, say “thank you” to your DAP professional! You can treat them to a coffee (in person or send them a gift card for a virtual coffee date), recognize them in a company meeting, or say your thanks publicly on Twitter or LinkedIn with the hashtag #DAPProfessionals and tag your team members. After all, DAP professionals improve the day to day jobs of individual employees by providing more efficiency and productivity through the right technology.
On an organizational level, companies should take this opportunity to show their appreciation for their DAP professionals by planning a lunch, party, or happy hour in their honor. Companies can also give their DAP professionals prizes to recognize their accomplishments in implementing digital projects throughout the year.
